Scarab Sweepers Deliver Revolutionary RAVO E2 Electric Sweeper to Hounslow Highways

We’re proud to announce the delivery of a brand-new, all-electric RAVO E2 sweeper to Hounslow Highways. This milestone reflects Hounslow Highways’ forward-thinking commitment to sustainability and innovation, as they take one giant leap towards reducing environmental impact - without compromising on performance.

The RAVO E2 will join Hounslow Highways’ street cleansing fleet to support a range of essential services to maintain and enhance the borough’s public spaces. Hounslow Highways become the launch customer for the RAVO E2 in the UK market, building of the machine’s global success since its introduction.

Speaking on the purchase, Scott Burborough (Cleansing Operations Manager, Hounslow Highways) said: “The [RAVO E2] caught my eye straight away. We worked [the sweeper] hard while on demonstration, the operator was very keen to put the sweeper to the test and push the boundaries of the battery’s [autonomy]. It really performed well, it did everything we needed to do, and it didn’t finish the shift short of charge. It was a no-brainer for us!”.

The RAVO E2 represents a new era in street sweeping, blending cutting-edge technology with exceptional efficiency to support cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable urban environments. Its compact design and advanced electric technology made it the perfect fit for Hounslow Highways, offering both environmental and operational benefits. The handover of this RAVO E2 was accompanied by comprehensive training, which was delivered by Scarab’s industry-leading After Sales team. The delivery also included a brand-new Magnum 72 truck mounted sweeper which will also support the team’s cleansing needs in the borough.
