In celebration of World Clean Up Day 2025, SCARAB proudly reaffirmed our commitment to sustainability and community engagement through a series of impactful initiatives across our facilities and local areas.
World Clean Up Day is a global movement that unites millions of volunteers, governments, and organisations across 190+ countries to tackle the growing problem of mismanaged waste. Held annually, World Clean Up Day serves as a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to protect the environment. More than just a clean-up effort, the day inspires awareness, action, and long-term change by encouraging communities to come together, restore natural spaces, and promote sustainable practices. It’s a celebration of collective impact - proving that when people work together, even small actions can lead to a cleaner, healthier planet.
As part of our company-wide movement to spotlight environmental stewardship, SCARAB is taking the following steps on World Clean Up Day 2025:
Copies of SCARAB’s latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report were distributed across all company facilities, showcasing the organisation’s ongoing efforts in sustainability, ethical practices, and community support. These were accompanied by copies of the FAYAT Decarbonisation Report – highlighting the company’s overall ambitions and targets to work towards decarbonisation.
Employees from SCARAB’s Marden site came together to sweep and clean the village, demonstrating hands-on involvement in keeping the local environment clean and fostering community pride.
An engaging and educational presentation on environmental awareness and SCARAB’s sustainability goals was displayed across screens throughout the site, encouraging staff to reflect on their role in protecting the planet.
“Our actions on World Clean Up Day reflect our deep-rooted values and our belief that every small step contributes to a greener future,” said Andy Farley, Strategic Project Manager. “World Clean Up Day is a powerful reminder that collective action can drive meaningful change, but it is not a token event. We continue to implement strategic business practices to better our understanding and highlight our commitment to accelerating society’s transition to a cleaner, healthier environment.”
SCARAB remains committed to leading by example and inspiring others to join the journey toward environmental responsibility.
