Whether you’re looking to replace a machine in your fleet of sweepers, or your workload is leading you to increase your machine capacity, Scarab has you covered! As just one of Scarab’s sales solutions geared towards supporting our customers to meet the demands of their operations, we have secured a number of stock chassis to help eradicate long lead times from chassis suppliers.
The continued fallout of the Covid-19 pandemic and supply chain crisis has left many chassis-dependent businesses in a state of limbo – with fluctuating lead times still causing major uncertainty among customers. That’s why Scarab made the decision to invest in our customer’s future, to deliver attractive lead times and a choice of chassis specifications.
To achieve this, the team collaborated with DAF chassis dealer HTC Heathrow to deliver a large number of the left-hand drive, DAF LF chassis in the 7.5, 12 and 15/16-tonne GVW categories. By combining expertise, the teams were able to highlight optimal specifications to meet the requirements of our customers.
The teams at HTC Heathrow and Scarab have been closely working together for over three decades and DAF have offered a range of ‘Sweeper Pack’ chassis’ capable of supporting the full Scarab product range for over 20 years. As one of the leading suppliers of sweeper chassis’ in Europe, with well-respected After Sales support, this collaboration has the end user at its core.
“Holding stock chassis’ is rare but in light of the unprecedented circumstances we have all faced in the last couple of years, this program has been designed to ease the flow and avoid another situation where the end-user suffers delays”, explains Truck Sales Executive – HTC Heathrow, Tony Dumpleton. “Scarab, HTC Heathrow and DAF trucks have a strong history of working together to provide solutions to customers. We each take responsibility and work together as a team.”
For customers, this means that certain Scarab vehicles can now be made available in just a matter of weeks – a remarkable feat considering the shape of the industry just a year ago. Technical Fleet and Sales Support Manager, Andy Duncan, explains that the strategy has been driven by Scarab’s drive to support our customers:
“Ultimately, many customers can’t afford to wait 18 – 24 months to replace their sweepers. These vehicles are high-demand, high-performance machines that are essential in keeping local communities clean and hospitable for residents. Scarab has always been geared towards serving our customers and we feel this is a fantastic opportunity to keep delivering as many Scarab vehicles to them as possible.”
