Over the past 40 years, Scarab Sweepers has firmly established its presence as global leaders in the design and manufacture of environmentally focused road cleansing vehicles. Produced from sheet metal upwards on their site in Marden, Kent, Scarab distributes their road sweepers to customers around the world via a network of trusted dealers. This site is also home to the company’s head offices and dedicated After Sales unit which offers servicing and support to their loyal customers across the United Kingdom.

In recent years, Scarab have expanded on this facility by opening a dedicated Depot and Service Centre based in Falkirk to offer support to customers in Scotland and the North of England. Headed up by Brian Goldie, Regional Sales Manager for the area, and Gordon Henderson, Area Service Manager, the Scotland-based Scarab team is committed to helping local authorities, public service providers and private contractors in the region find the correct cleansing solutions to meet their targets.

Brian, who joined the company in November 2020, plans to expand the customer base in the region by showcasing the capabilities of Scarab’s range of environmentally focused single and twin-engine sweepers. Scarab’s product range, which comes in a variety of body sizes, drive types and with alternative fuel solutions such as CNG, all boast excellent build quality, superior performance, optimum payload, and are complemented by minimal noise and exhaust pollution – it’s these qualities, the team believe, that set Scarab Sweepers apart from the competition.

Brian understands that “reliability and trust are absolutely key in the sweeping industry”, noting that he was aware of the Scarab brand even before joining the company because of the renowned product quality and fantastic After Sales reputation the business holds in the Scottish market. In his role of Regional Sales Manager for Scotland and Northern England, Brian hopes to further this reputation by “building relationships with customers to demonstrate the benefits of our Scarab products and, in turn, provide reliable and quality solutions to meet their fleet requirements”. With several sales options available, including Direct Hire contracts, there are a number of ways customers can experience the capabilities of the Scarab product range.


Working closely with Brian is Gordon Henderson, the Area Service Manager for the region, who is responsible for upholding Scarab’s outstanding service reputation in Scotland and the North of England. Having worked for Scarab for several years, Gordon’s experience and dedicated product knowledge help to provide customers with unrivalled support and achieve optimal performance from their machines. In line with the After Sales team based out of the Scarab headquarters in Kent, Gordon and his team of field engineers stay up to date with the latest training and industry developments to respond to each customer’s needs and ensure their machines work harder, for longer.
