Woodend Municipal & Vehicle Hire have taken a further 16 Scarab sweepers comprising of Scarab Merlin XP Hydrostatics and Scarab Minor Compact Urban/Precinct sweepers.

Ryan Price, Sales Director of Woodend confirmed the specific criteria applied in choosing Scarab, reliability, performance, unrivalled payload and first class support, adding “The Scarab Merlin XP Hydrostatics, having the lowest exhaust emissions of any truck mounted sweeper, are already in place with Woodend and available if required by any operators to meet the requirements within the enlarged Low Emission Zone in the Greater London area starting February 4th 2008 for 12 tonne GVW vehicles and July 2008 for vehicles over 3.5 tonne GVW”.
