Following on from the great success of the Merlin range of sweepers, Scarab have seen fit to develop a derivative to allow UK users to continue to exploit the 7.5 tonne category still popular amongst Local Authorities and Contractors.

The Scarab Merlin XP truckmount sweeper has been specifically designed to maximise the payload potential of the 7.5 tonne class sweeper, which remains justly popular amongst municipal operators. Maintaining a viable payload to GVW ratio is vital to productivity and, in the final analysis, value for money and this is where the Scarab Merlin XP comes in.

The revised 7.5 tonne Scarab Merlin XP ensures Scarab`s payload advantage remains, achieving almost half a tonne Xtra Payload over its competitors over even the latest competitive equipment on the market.

The Melin XP has Impressive Suction Power meaning that a Single Pass will be enough even on the most stubborn of sites along with a maximum `no trails` sweep width of up to 2950mm and a standard water tank which will hold up to 900 litres, very handy when utilizing the low pressure water system or for use with the powerful street wash system.

The Scarab Merlin XP incorporates the Scarab CANbus 2 system and provides the operator with an intuitive panel layout with all sweeping functions available close to hand with Visible switches. (no hidden confusing menus)

Its simple joystick control allows selection of forward or reverse modes without the need to change gear virtually eliminating the clutch and brake wear experienced when sweeping with auxiliary engine machines. The Scarab system was designed not only for ease of sweeping operation but also to eliminate the complex wiring associated with other sweepers and negates the need to use a laptop computer as all the diagnostic and fault finding features are built into the cab-mounted control panel.

In the U.K Holders of a standard U.K Car license can legally drive the Merlin XP thanks to Grandfather rights granted to drivers who passed their driving tests before 1997.

Available as Hydrostatic or Unidrive.

By only having only the single vehicle engine, which is tested to the latest emission legislation, gives REDUCED EXHAUST POLLUTION and REDUCED FUEL CONSUMPTION, making the Scarab Merlin XP one of the most environmentally friendly truck mounted road sweepers ever built.
