Scarab Minors Sweep in at Doncaster - Oct 2007

Doncaster Council now uses the Scarab Minor Compact Urban road sweeper for its road sweeping operations.

Doncaster forms part of an ever growing new customer base to Scarab Sweepers represented in the North of England by Londonderry Garage who supplied and commissioned the two recently delivered vehicles and will also provide their usual comprehensive after sales package

Brief outline detail of Doncaster Council’s Scarab Minor Hydrostatic Compact Urban/Precinct sweepers.
Euro 4 VM turbo diesel engine – 65kph travel speed – large 2 cubic metre stainless steel body – 420 litre water tank – unique 4 brush sweeping configuration – latest Scarab CANbus systems.

Specification included high pressure wash system with auto hose reel and adjustable height front spray bar. Autolube grease system for both sweep gear and chassis, complimenting daily service schedules. Air conditioning ensured the drivers could operate in any weather conditions and with a rear mounted camera giving high awareness consideration in confined operating conditions, ensuring maximum safety. Highlighting the self contained aspect of operation, a Teal Hand Wash basin was also included, so that whatever cleansing job had to be tackled, a quick clean up for operators was also close to hand.
