CIWM 2007 A Sweeping Success for Scarab

Scarab Sweepers confirmed yet again another very successful Chartered Institute of Waste Management Exhibition at Paignton Green Torbay.
Although the weather wasn`t as kind as usual, the location by the sea, on the south West coast of England, a unique setting, played its part in ensuring a steady flow of interested visitors onto the Scarab stand.

"CIWM is an important show for Scarab as a high proportion of the visitors are seen as decision makers fom Council Authorities and it is important for Scarab to be able to convey the many considerable advantages of Scarab Sweepers both in Environmental terms and the low whole life costs that Scarab equipment offers."

The CIWM is also a unique show in that any profits are directly related to the overall well being of the "waste industry in the UK" both in terms of training support for council operatives and academic support for development in new important trends covering the whole of our "waste industry"
"Although it`s accepted that focus changes continually we still see the Chartered Institute of Waste Management event as a regular show for Scarab to attend"

Scarab look forward to seeing old friends and making new acquaintances at our next show the Londonerry Show at Northallerton (North Yorkshire) on 18th/19th July 2007, followed by the Recycling and Waste Management Exhibition at the NEC Birmingham 11th to 13th September 2007.

"A dual Sweep" Scarab Minor the compact urban/precinct sweeper created significant interest - steel tined channel brushes and full size suction nozzles as found on bigger truck mounted sweepers fitted to both nearside and offside complimented by the normal polypropylene front mounted brushes. Developed in response to operators request and now successfully being used in France and the UK, the latest Euro 4 version looks destined for further success. On show were units kindly loaned by Watford SFS and another by Birmingham City Council

Scarab Mistral (Twin Engined) truck mounted sweeper perfect for overseas operators where it can be easily mounted on the locally sourced chassis.
The "concept vehicle" on show featured many ingenious technical advancements being trialled during 2007 before its official launch during mid 2008.

Interested visitors to the Scarab stand appreciated the finer points of the advanced designed traditional "twin engined" truck mounted Mistral sweeper range even commanding closer inspection by a couple of keen visitors.

Creating considerable interest the Non HGV 7.5 tonne GVW truck-mounted Scarab Merlin XP that offered minimal exhaust pollution for those concerned with environmental aspects and an outstanding payload advantage over all its rivals for those operators where productivity and performance are key factors. Two vehicles shown were courtesy of Newport County Borough Council on a Daf 45 series chassis and Sevenoaks District Council mounted on an Iveco chassis. Both vehicles on show with numerous option, offered payload exceeding 2000kgs!
