Scarab Sweepers confirmed yet again another successful Chartered Institute of Waste Management Exhibition at Paignton Green Torbay.

A new cab for the Scarab Minor was on display with emphasis on improved driver comfort and increased visibility, complimenting the outstanding proven record in operation.

For overseas visitors, of which plenty visited the Scarab stand, the brand new skid-mount sweeper kit the Scarab M6 attracted keen interest.

The "single" engined Scarab Magnum with its standard 7.2 cubic metre body and 1800 litre capacity water tank was on show accompanied alongside by the popular Scarab Mistral our "twin engine" sweeper kindly exhbitied by permission of the Department of Transport of the Isle of Man.

Woodend Hire featured on Scarab's stand with the latest Scarab Merlin XP mounted on an Daf 7.5 tonne GVW chassis specifically designed for non HGV drivers yet payload approaching over 2000kgs.

Visiting the Scarab stand on Wednesday morning the President of CIWM 2008-9 received a memento from John Affleck Managing Director of Scarab Sweepers followed by a visit to the Scarab stand by the Mayor of Torbay.

The Scarab Merlin conjures up magical performances for sweeper operators throughout the World but visitors to the CIWM exhibition were also entertained by guest magician Dan Rogerson who added considerably to the ambience, alongside an outstanding range of Scarab sweepers on the show stand.

One leading "hire company" requested the magician to change a £20 note into a £50 and indeed the magician did change it, into a £5 and as he went to walk away another Scarab operator was quick to comment "The only sure way of making a guaranteed profit is to operate Scarab Sweepers" - We couldn't agree more.
