Lüpold AG had the official hand over of their latest Scarab Magnum Sweeper at Switzerland’s Old Timer Tractor Meeting held in Möriken. Some 1200 vehicles attended the festival along with Lüpold’s latest municipal acquisitions.

Lüpold vehicles are carefully hand painted with the vehicles operator having a direct input on how they would like their new vehicles graphics to look. The operator of the new Scarab Magnum is Oettli Werner he is a keen photographer with very good connections at Zurich Airport which is helpful due to his keen interest in aviation.

The artwork on his new sweeper shows a lot about Oettli’s personality and passion for aeroplanes. In the photo below you can see the new Scarab Magnum being presented to Oettli by Willi Lüpold. We would like to thank Lüpold for their continued business and Kehrtec our Swiss Distributor for providing great support to a prestigious customer.  I think you would agree the machine looks fantastic.

Havant Norse South East have just taken delivery of an ex demonstration Scarab M65T, our premium Twin Engine truck mounted sweeper which suits contractors and the municipal market alike.
Havant Norse has been running other manufacturers twin-engine sweepers for many years but after demonstration of our twin-engine Scarab and other similar manufacturer’s products they opted for the M65T.
Their new sweeper is mounted on the popular DAF chassis, and comes fitted with Dual Sweep option, a high pressure sweep and wash system and our new powerful overhead boom system which tucks neatly away in the near side locker.

Scarab would like to thank Paul Stanley (Fleet Operations Team Leader) and the rest of the team at Havant for the opportunity and would like this opportunity to say thankyou for the additional order of another M65T which will be with them soon.

Bicester Sweepers have just taken delivery of a Scarab Magnum Hydrostatic mounted on an 18 ton MAN sleep cab chassis; this new sweeper joins a growing fleet of Scarab truck-mounted sweepers which includes two Scarab Magnum Hydrostatics and a twin engine Scarab Mistral.
Their latest Magnum is fitted with the new Scarab high speed fan option which gives up to 40% more suction performance, due to the additional power the fan creates a newly designed and strengthened 7.2 meter hopper is supplied which gives an impressive 7.5 tonne payload. The Magnum has been and  fitted with many options including an auxiliary channel brush mounted on the near side, overhead suction boom, high-pressure power wash and a high powered Scarab Hydrostatic gearbox.

Robert Herring the Managing Director of Bicester Sweepers has been running a fleet of Road sweepers for many years and until recently used twin engine sweepers from another manufacturer, one of Robert’s hobbies is steam engines from a bygone age and he sees the single engine design of the Magnum as the modern future in road sweepers.
Being a Hydrostatic the Scarab Magnum makes very good use of the 250 BHP MAN engine to power the sweeper. The engine can be run as low as 1100 RPM which is right at the bottom of the green band and works extremely well on the new Euro 6 engines.
Scarab would like to thank Robert, Ann and Nick Herring at Bicester Sweepers for their continued custom.
