With the recent success of the CV Show in Birmingham the Scarab Sales team headed off to Germany to give a repeat performance. The IFAT Exhibition held in Munich only appears on the calendar every three years and is reputed to be the largest of its kind in Europe. On show were the latest Scarab Minor with its restyled cab together with two of Scarab’s best selling truck-mounted models; the single engine Merlin with the proven Scarab hydrostatic transmission along with the two-engine Scarab Mistral with fluid drive.

WORLDWIDE PREMIER

The show was also chosen as the worldwide premier for a completely new Scarab model. Named the M6, the vehicle represents a new concept for export skid units in that it was specifically developed for rapid and simple mounting to virtually any internationally available chassis. The unit is manufactured from the highest grade materials and without compromising build quality. With parallel marketing through the worldwide distribution network of BOMAG (part of the Fayat Group) the vehicle took pride of place on the Mathieu stand in its traditional BOMAG yellow livery and badged as the FS6000. According to David Maire, Export Sales Manager for Mathieu “The FS 6000 received a huge amount of interest from customers, distributors and strangely enough some of our competitors and we are very pleased to see a truck mounted sweeper complement our existing range of products.”

 

Dave Cassingham, Sales Director for Scarab Sweepers was very pleased with the exhibition attendance stating “This was a fantastic opportunity for Scarab to see many of our customers and distributors. It’s not often you receive visitors from the UK, Ireland, Norway, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany Austria, Greece, Czech, Serbia and others, all in one show. The fact that we were supported by countries further a field such as, Russia, Israel, The Middle East and Australia made the show unique and offered us the opportunity to show that Scarab is truly an international brand and expanding all the time.”

 

With a second major exhibition in 2008 now under the belt, the Scarab Sales Team are moving onto the CIWM in Torbay for 10th to 12th June and look forward to welcoming you all there.
